Luke 418 Freshwater Project: Clean Water for Rural Rwanda
In many rural communities in Rwanda, clean drinking water is hard to find. Families often walk long distances just to reach water that isn’t even safe to drink. This puts their health at risk, especially for children, the elderly, and the sick. Waterborne diseases are common, and without safe water, simple tasks like cooking, cleaning, and bathing become dangerous.
The Luke 418 Freshwater Project is changing that.
Through partnerships with local leaders and support from donors like you, Luke 418 Ministries is helping to install water purification systems in rural areas. These systems make it possible for families to access clean, safe drinking water right in their own communities.
Why Clean Water Matters
- Health: Clean water prevents the spread of deadly diseases like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery.
- Education: When children don’t have to spend hours collecting water or miss school due to illness they can stay in class and build a better future.
- Dignity: Safe water at home restores dignity to families and helps communities thrive.
Serving the Most Vulnerable
